The annual dinner of the Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) for it’s members and business executives was successfully held on July 7, 2021.

For the first time in its 30-year presence at the World Informatics Olympiad, Cyprus wins two bronze medals with Charalambos Georgiou and Dimitris Chrysostomou!
From 21 to 25 June 2021, the second and final Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) of the Erasmus+ Project DIGINV was organised in a hybrid format in Bevagna, Umbria, Italy. The training sessions inlcuded introduction and work with Augmented Reality applications and software for the preparation and creation on virtual rooms. The closing event of the project was held on Thursday 24 June with a multisensory and multidimensional journey through the crafts of the "Gaite" and an incredible Video mapping performance on the Facade of the Church of San Silvestro.

The Cyprus Computer Society participates since 2015 in the All Digital Network. All Digital is a leading pan-European association based in Brussels, representing 72 member organisations across 25 European countries that work with 25,000 digital competence centres. Following the Annual General Assembly the new board and the new financial controllers have been announced after an online voting procedure.

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) announces the winners of the Pancyprian Informatics Olympiad who will represent Cyprus in the respective international competitions.
CCS participates as a member of the Diversity Charter Cyprus which is part of the European Platform of Diversity Maps, an initiative of the European Commission which started its work in 2010 at Pan-European level, thus promoting tools, policies and practices for diversity. Members can be any entity (companies, organizations, public bodies, universities, institutes, associations, etc.) in Cyprus.
CASSINI is European Commission’s support to space-based entrepreneurs and to connect hackers to space by using Copernicus data & services and Galileo and EGNOS signals & data. The 1st CASSINI Hackathon will be held simultaneously in 10 European countries from 18-20 June. The goal of the hackathon is ‘Digitising Green Spaces’ and three challenges await potential space hackers to achieve this: #1 Discover your city / #2 Staying fit & healthy / #3 Protecting our rural areas.
