The 1st European Coding Challenge powered by Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) will take place on Friday 20 May 2022 at Hilton Hotel Nicosia from 09:00 - 17:00.
During the workshop participants will learn more about the Huawei Mobile Services and HMS Core which offers a rich array of open device and cloud capabilities that facilitate efficient development, fast growth, and flexible monetization. This enables global developers to pursue groundbreaking innovation, deliver next-level user experiences, and make premium content and services broadly accessible.

Participation Criteria
All participants should:
- Bring their own laptop
- Have at least one-year experience of Java or Kotlin programming
- Have experience in Android Studio mobile application development environment (if not, it is suggested that you first explore the Android Studio environment and successfully complete at least one simple demo before this training)
Preparation Instructions
Prior to the workshop all participants should:
- Install Android Studio
- Install AppGallery
- Install HMS Core from AppGallery on their smartphones in order to run demos
