Cyprus Computer Society has participated in the recent third Transnational Project Meeting of Digital Skills Wallet project, held in Athens on April 3-4, which marked a crucial milestone in the project's journey. Hosted at Dimitra's offices, the meeting provided a platform for the coordinator and partners to review the project's status and discuss the next steps in its development.
Led by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, this phase of the project (Work Package 2, “Microcredentials for the 5 Digital Competence Areas”) has focused on developing micro-credentials for the 5 competence areas outlined in the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp 2.2). These micro-credentials are organized across 8 levels of digital proficiency, following the European Union's recommendations to member states.
The consortium is pleased to announce the successful completion of the development of all Learning Outcomes and Micro-Credentials. Currently, all partners are in the process of finalizing translations into their respective languages, ensuring accessibility across Europe.
During the meeting, fruitful discussions took place regarding the project's future direction and strategies to ensure its success, with a specific focus on the implementation of the online platform. The main objective of the DigitalSkillsWallet project is to enable individuals to gradually acquire, evaluate, and project their digital skills, thereby empowering them to thrive in today's digital age.
As the project continues to progress, the consortium looks forward to sharing further updates with stakeholders and the public. The DigitalSkillsWallet project remains committed to its goal of empowering individuals with essential digital skills, thereby contributing to a more digitally literate and competitive Europe.
DigitalSkillsWallet is a project co-funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ program. It has a duration of 44 months (from January 1st, 2023, to August 31st, 2026), and is coordinated by the Education & Information Technology Center Ltd - EDITC (Cyprus).
