Since Covid-19 times hit at the beginning of 2020 we have realized how much society is dependent on technology and the essential role of digital skills and competences for every citizen to live, learn and work. Studies have shown that about 42% of Europeans citizens do not have the sufficient digital knowledge to face the employment changes which technology has brought.
The confident and critical use of digital technology is key to supporting lifelong learning, active citizenship, employability, and inclusion. It is now crucial that Europe endows its citizens with digital and STE(A)M knowledge to match companies and organisations needs, and fosters Digital Social Inclusion.
