Project Description

The overall aim of our project is to equip young women with the necessary skills and confidence to enhance their employability and career prospects in cybersecurity, thus contributing to greater gender diversity, inclusivity and resilience in the field. The project will develop CyberMe Launchpad Program: Female Youth Cybersecurity Career Accelerator. This will be an upskilling program designed specifically for young women, focused on entry-level cybersecurity topics aligned with the CompTIA Security+. It will provide essential foundational knowledge for earning industry-recognized certifications, thereby enhancing females' credibility and employability. Furthermore, real-world cybersecurity scenarios will be presented as gamified capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges via the Launchpad Interactive Tool, enabling young women to practice and enhance the skills gained with the Program in a fun, interactive, and competitive environment. Completing these challenges will earn them digital badges, which are highly valued by employers as a proof of
practical expertise and proactive learning.

CyberME aims to empower young women with skills and confidence for cybersecurity careers and increase gender diversity by:

  • Creating an engaging upskilling program to spark interest & prepare women for entry-level roles
  • Offering interactive, real-world exercises to boost female youth’s skills & job readiness
  • Equipping youth educators with resources for effective, inclusive cybersecurity training
  • Promoting project outcomes to bridge the gender gap and strengthen resilience in cybersecurity.
