Launch a career in technology with Amazon Web Services - AWS re/Start

AWS re/Start is a free part time skills development program to jump-start your career working in cloud computing. A technology background is not required to apply, and the program is focused on unemployed and underemployed individuals.

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources over the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Instead of buying, owning, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, you can access technology services, such as computing power, storage, and databases, on an as-needed basis from a cloud provider like Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Information about the course

 Application Requirements 

The course is offered completely free through the Erasmus+ funded Project FEMME FORWARD , to women with the following profile:

• professionals of any discipline who want to change careers to IT for better job prospects
• college/university graduates from non-tech degrees who want to move into tech positions
• high school graduates seeking to launch an IT career
• unemployed or re-entering the labor market after maternity
• migrants, refugees and others belonging to vulnerable groups
• women who want to upskill for better job opportunities

Additionally, as the program is completely online, you need to have access to a reliable computer and stable internet connection.

What skills will I learn?

Through hands-on interactive sessions, you’ll learn technical, behavioural and mindset skills to prepare you to launch a career in the cloud.

What are ideals roles for AWS re/Start graduates?

AWS re/Start graduates pursue entry-level cloud roles in operations, site reliability, and infrastructure support. In these positions, graduates use Python scripts, support Linux operating systems, operate network infrastructures, deploy basic AWS core services, and carry out initial troubleshooting.
