The Cyprus Computer Society is proud to announce the successful completion of the first train-the-trainer event in Nicosia, as part of the Code4Rural project. The project aims to offer free robotics and coding workshops to students in rural areas in Cyprus, empowering them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital age.

During the event, which took place on March 11th, 2023, a group of trainers were trained on robotics and coding by two experienced trainers, Matina Marathefti from Heron Mathisis and Sophia Kouskouli from Novatex Solutions. These newly trained trainers are now equipped with the skills and knowledge to offer free workshops to students in rural areas in Cyprus.

With this project, Cyprus Computer Society as the coordinator of this project, along with the two partners: Novatex Solutions and Heron Mathisis, aims to address the digital divide between urban and rural areas in Cyprus by providing equal access to digital education for all students.

The successful completion of the first train-the-trainer event is just the beginning. The Code4Rural project has another train-the-trainer event coming up in Larnaca on March 26th, 2023. The Cyprus Computer Society is committed to supporting this project and ensuring that all students in rural areas in Cyprus have access to the digital education they need to succeed.
