Informatics & Computational Thinking Competition
The Cyprus Computer Society, in collaboration with SYKAP and with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, is organizing the online Bebras Informatics Competition for children aged 9 to 15.
The National Informatics & Computational Thinking Competition BEBRAS 2024-25 is based on the corresponding global initiative and aims to foster critical, analytical, and algorithmic thinking, as well as problem-solving skills.
The competition is aimed at primary school students (Grades 4-6) and secondary school students who can participate from home or school.
Participation is free, and the first round will take place online from December 6-23, 2024.
Interested students, parents, and educators must register on the website www.bebras.org.cy by December 4, 2024.
On the website, students will find sample challenges and have the opportunity to tackle problems that are not taught in class, in a different, engaging, and playful way.
Please note that the Bebras 2024-25 competition is supported by XM, ICDL, and the Organized Parents Association.
