Project Description
BRIDGE increases digital safety and security in adult education to protect the rights and privacy of learners and provide them with safe learning offerings in order to enable those who are apprehensive of digital tools to engage in educational activities supported by digital means. It builds the digital competences of AEIs, educators, and learners to increase their "confident, critical and responsible use of, and engagement with, digital technologies for learning, at work, and for participation in society”.
BRIDGE aims at:
- Increasing awareness and capacity of AEIs staff about issues of digital safety and their implications for inclusiveness and take-up of adult education to make GDPR an integral part of their ethos.
- Equipping educators with the competencies to impart digital skills while emphasizing the importance of digital safety of learners and also offering these as learning content to both adult learners and AEIs.
- Educate vulnerable adult groups, especially immigrant women, about their digital rights, safety practices, and how to protect their digital footprint to increase their confidence to engage in educational activities supported by digital tools.
