WRO Cyprus was organized by the Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, in collaboration with STEM Education Hellas and IET Cyprus. The event was supported by ECOMMBX as the Powered by Sponsor and XM as the Tech Partner, while the European University Cyprus hosted the competition.

Students from elementary, junior high, and high schools participated in the competition, designing, building, and programming robots to tackle the challenges of their respective categories, based on this year’s theme, “The Future of Robots.” Participants explored the role of robotics in addressing global challenges and improving everyday life – from robots that shape the cities of the future and explore space, to artificial intelligence systems that influence every aspect of our society.

The winning teams of each category will represent Cyprus at the WRO International Final, which will take place in Singapore from November 26 to 28, 2025.

Specifically:

  • In the Primary (Elementary) category, the first place was awarded to the team Dream Team from SteamDream  group, coached by Antonis Finikarides, with members Christoforos Finikarides, Panagiotis Lagos, and Sotiris Petrou.
