Provided that the epidemiological conditions with the coronavirus pandemic will allow it and also that the requirements and decrees of the Ministry of Health will make it practically feasible,The Cyprus Computer Society intends to organise the 4th Pancyprian Robotics Competition Robotex that was cancelled due to the pandemic. 
With the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus' Youth Board as co-organizers, Robotex Cyprus will return for its fourth edition in a different format, in accordance with the COVD-19 protocols.
The event will be organized under the auspices of H.E the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, it has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Digital Champion of Cyprus and is supported by a large number of stakeholders.
Taking into consideration the measures against the coronavirus spread and with the aim of reducing the attendance of participants and visitors in the same place and time, the Robotex Roadshow 2020 will be held in 4 separate activities, on 4 different days.

  • 15/11 Pafos (Neapolis University): Maze Solving
  • 22/11 Limassol (Linipetra Lyceum): Line Following
  • 29/11 Larnaca (UCLan University): SUMO
  • 6/12 Via the internet:  Educational Robotics

Robotex Cyprus addresses students of all ages and adults and admission is free of charge. The winning teams will be able to participate in the next Robotex International, from which last year's winners returned to Cyprus with plenty of awards in their luggage!
Interested teams are invited to build robots with the help of a coach-trainer, in order to compete in the four challenge categories of the competition, using the robotic platforms Engino, Lego, Edison, Arduino.
The event will be organized under the auspices of H.E the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades and has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth and the Digital Champion of Cyprus.
Robotex Roadshow 2020 takes place in collaboration with Cyta which is the longtime strategic partner of CCS and the company XM which is the technology partner. Bank of Cyprus also participates as Youth Supporter, EKO as platinum sponsor, Research and Innovation Foundation and Neapolis University as gold sponsors and other companies as sponsors. The competition is supported by organizations as well as all the private universities that offer scholarships to the winners.
With the support of these organizations, the passion of the Robotex Cyprus volunteers and the enthusiasm of the young contestants, we hope that the epidemiological conditions will allow us to create another innovative robotic experience!
