MIT International Science & Technology Initiatives (MISTI) Global Teaching Labs arrives in Cyprus for the first time ever!
In January 2026, Cyprus will host the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and its world-renowned MISTI Global Teaching Labs — a milestone moment for our island’s STEM and tech education.
For the first time, MIT students will travel to Cyprus to work alongside top Cypriot universities and educators, delivering a hands-on robotics and STEM program for bright high schoolers (15–18) and first-year university students.
Three Weeks. Three Cities. Four Institutions. One Vision.
– Jan 5–9 2026 – Neapolis University Pafos, preparation & collaboration week
– Jan 12–16 2026 – Lumio Private School - 1st program, Paphos
– Jan 19–23 2026 – https://www.facebook.com/UniversityOfCyprus - 2nd program, Nicosia
– Jan 26–30 2026 – Cyprus University of Technology / Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου - 3rd program, Limassol.
MIT and Cypriot co-instructors will guide participants through real robotics challenges and teamwork, culminating in weekly Demo Days where students showcase their functioning robotic prototypes. Program Highlights

- Hands-on, project-based learning – “Mind and Hand” in action
This program brings MIT’s renowned “Mens et Manus” spirit to Cyprus — learning by doing, creating, and collaborating.

Criteria: STEM aptitude, curiosity, teamwork, motivation (English A2 + level)
