From October 6 to 9, the European Cyber Security Challenge 2025 took place in Warsaw, Poland, with the participation of national teams from 40 countries.

Cyprus was represented by ten (10) individuals aged 15–25, who had distinguished themselves in the Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge, the national competition.

The competition consisted of two main parts:

  • First part (Jeopardy):
The contestants were asked to solve challenges in various categories such as cryptography, web security, forensics, reverse engineering, and others.
  • Second part (Attack/Defense):
Each team had five (5) services accessible by all other teams. Participants had to identify vulnerabilities or security flaws and attack the systems of other teams, while simultaneously protecting and patching their own services to prevent attacks.

The Cypriot delegation achieved 28th place, a particularly honorable result, given that the competition included some of Europe’s top talents.

Congratulations to all participants! Special Thanks to all contributors!
