Five total medals were awarded to students of the Informatics Olympiad in the international competition of Informatics and Mathematics Lotfi Zadeh Olympiad, which was held online December 20-25.

The competition was dedicated to the memory of the distinguished Azeri scientist, mathematician, specialist in the field of artificial intelligence and computer science, the founder of the theory "Fuzzy Logic" Lotfi Zadeh.

Cyprus participated in the competition with two teams. Specifically:

Mathematics Team

Christos Falas (National Guard, Nicosia) - Bronze medal

Kyriakos Tsiannis (Lyceum of Agios Neophytos, Paphos) - Bronze medal

Panagiotis Chatzikostas (Lyceum of Vergina, Larnaca) - Bronze medal

Informatics Team

Theofanis Orfanou (Greek School Pascal Limassol) - Silver medal

Dimitris Chrysostomou (American Academy of Larnaca) - Bronze medal
