Cybersecurity has risen to the top of political agendas. Cyber-attacks create huge damage for companies and organizations. It is important for governments, businesses and academia to stay at the forefront of these developments through cyber-risk assessment. CYBER.CERIDES aims to provide world-class expertise in cybersecurity and risk and decision sciences through research, education and training, consultancy and entrepreneurship.
The opening ceremony will be addressed by the Deputy Ministry to the President of Cyprus for Research, Innovation & Digital Policy, Kyriacos Kokkinos. The online event will host a series of prestigious speakers, including Despina Spanou, the Head of Cabinet of European Commission Vice-President Schinas; Oxford University Prof Ciaran Martin, former CEO of the UK NCSC; Freddy Dezeure, Global Cybersecurity Leader And Former Head of CERT-EU; George Michaelides, CEO for the Cyprus Government Stakeholders, and Profs Paul Timmers and George Metakides and Michael Daniel, President and CEO of Cyber Threat Alliance and former Special Assistant to President Obama and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the USA National Security Council Staff.
The launch program will also include a cyber-risk ‘101’, practical cases studies and a panel debate of our world-class International Advisory Board in interactions with the audience.
