ΕλληνικάWith a successful event that took place early October in Nicosia, Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) launched the concept of Information Technology (ICT) Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
The Special Interest Groups are created and operated by CCS members, with the decision of the CCS Board and are aimed at the promotion and development of specific sectors of the broader spectrum of IT in Cyprus. Each group is a small community of people involved and interested in a common subject matter, for which collaborate, meet and decide, in order to produce work, create projects and/or to organize an event, a conference, etc.
During the event, the existing groups were activated, such as "Information Security", "Women in ICT", "ICT European Projects," and new groups such as "Gaming & Mobile Apps", Young IT Professionals " "Open Source Software," "ICT in Education” were created. The catalogue for the CCS Special Interest Groups is limited. The Society invites all students, professionals and friends of IT who specialize and are interested in particular areas, to propose the creation of new groups and/or participate in existing ones, in order to gain experience and offer their experience for the benefit of the Information Society.
